I have used memory management programs (on PC) that can release RAM, but abandoned them as they also used some memory in the background and RAM recovery takes as long as closing & re-launching PS. The Task Manager identifies the RAM as being used by PS, but it is not released when all documents are closed, so presumably, the same RAM is used by PS for the next opened document. It still runs (apparently) quicker after re-launching though. Also, both PS and my ADSL seem slower in the afternoon than in the morning. I now time PS re-launches with a toilet break.
