Dear List
Lets keep this on list please! It's also one way in which we can keep our suppliers on their toes<G>
Cheers -- Richard
OK On List it is!
Hi,
Beware wide angles not designed for your sensor! I'd heard this one before I opted for a D100 + 12-24mm Nikkor, and am very glad that I did.
Another Prodiger was complaining that he couldn't get sharp focus when doing an interior with his Fuji S2, using the 12-24. As far as I can gather it is to do with the depth of the pixels on the sensor.
I believe Nikon are the only ones to do true wides for digital at the moment.
(Although Schneider Digitars may be another story)
Even if you have a 24x36 sensor, it doesn't necessarily mean you can use a conventional (film based) wide angle!
All the best,
John
