Dear List
Lets keep this on list please! Knowing the good, the bad and the ugly is key to all of our futures. It's also one way in which we can keep our suppliers on their toes<G>
Cheers -- Richard
Sorry, I blundered with the last attempt!
On list it is!
Hi,
Beware wide angles not designed for your sensor! I'd heard this one before I opted for a D100 + 12-24mm Nikkor, and am very glad that I did.
Another Prodiger was complaining that he couldn't get sharp focus when doing an interior with his Fuji S2, using the 12-24. As far as I can gather it is to do with the depth of the pixels on the sensor.
I believe Nikon are the only ones to do true wides for digital at the moment.
Even if you have a 24x36 sensor, it doesn't necessarily mean you can use a conventional (film based) wide angle!
All the best,
John
