If image quality is important to you then I would deal with the dust and go
for prime lenses where possible, the image quality will be much better. I
know the Kodak 14n and the Canon 1Ds are 35mm bodies but if you treat them
like medium format cameras you will get comparable results. I only use 1
zoom lens with my 1Ds which is a 15-30mm and only very occasionally. I only
had it really for the D60 I used before. Now the 24mm usually does the job I
also use a 35mm, 50mm macro and 100mm macro. I have used the 24mm and 45mm
TSE lenses as well with acceptable results although I heard somewhere that
the Nikon shift lenses don't work on the 14n in the landscape position
because of the body extension at the bottom that protrudes too far forward,
anyone else in a position to confirm this.

John Blythe
