Yes, you're right. I understand this. I've actually been using your Printer
Test CD to try and find the best settings, and also have your Pixl Printer
Profile Verification kit. My mistake may have been looking for both
highlight and shadow separation as well most neutral colour on the one
grayscale - Neil B says really just to look for the best shadow separation.

Again you're right. These were included in my tests, and are the best
looking settings I got. Probably with Phot Qual Inkjet. Highlights OK, then
second half of the strip very dark with a jump one step from the end. These
characteristics on all strips.

OK, I had already tried the standard settings before trying this.

Again, this is the procedure I follow.

The only real change from previous successful printer test and profiling has
been add Lt M and Lt Y to my inks to set up a new CIS system and to try
PShop CS after PShop 7. I'm on Win 2000 Pro, using Lyson Fotonic with
HPR188. But thanks for your suggestions. Maybe I should reinstall PShop 7
and try again.

Thanks Thomas

Thanks John, I actually did read most of this about a year ago. Certainly
excellent. My problem is I seem to be doing everything right, and can't
identify what's going wrong. I'll have another plod through.

Do you have an email for him? There are a few things I'd like to ask. The
God I was referring to in my subject line lives in Hove!
Thanks for your comment
