Hello list,
I am working in Norway where increasingly people are asking for jobs too be done digitally, This is purely on costs grounds. I have already dipped my toe so to speak and now print out from photoshop 7 on an OSX mac from scanned trannies. I have a nikon f5 outfit, with a nikon D80 200mm zoom
and a nikon D20 35mm zoom and a micro nikkor 55mm which i would like to be able to use on the digital camera body.
My question is what do i need to buy to get started? I am looking at a nikon D100 on cost grounds, I dont have the budgett and the jobs dont justify anything more expensive, and I believe it fits the analog lenses, but what about extra memory cards battery chargers laptops download software etc etc all of which i have absolutly no clue about.
Is there a book which would help get me started? I understand people have personal preferances with kit but at the moment i am virginal on this so any advice is good advice. also I have tried the archive but I dont know what to ask. For instance there is a thread about microdrives at the mo and well, whats a microdrive?
