It is lens optimisation for sure. It WILL depend on the lens, focal
length, etc so do experiment - is showing chromatic abberation from the
lens and it is NOT the camera introducing an artifact.

Good news is the new sensor developed recently will have a different pixel
design and sensor filter so this will not be a concern. There is no lens
optimisation option in the new camera.

Existing 14ns can be upgraded to 14nx status with a new sensor and
analogue board for 925 plus vat . This will mean no image improvement at
lower ISOs but it does mean that 400 and 800 are now very usable. In fact
the 400 position for noise is now similar to that oif the 14n at 100.

Please deal DIRECT with Fixation or Johnsons Photopia for the conversions.

This is an industry 1st! If you had a Nikon D1 for instance, you would
have needed to upgrade to a D1x to get the improved skin tones etc.
