Hi Gordon You're making things more difficult for yourself than they need to be. Try using the "fit image" command in Photoshop, it's in the file menu inside the automate option - and set both height & width to 550 pixels. You can use this in an action without any "conditional statement" and can then create a batch action or droplet as required. If you only plan to do this once then a batch action will suffice, a droplet is only more useful if it's something you may choose to do again and again and you want to have it handy on your desktop, or wherever.
