Why give yourself the grief of having devices guess the right colour as opposed to get it right first time? My camera outputs in adobe, I have my monitor set up with the same profile and PS as well meaning that I get accurately rendered colour every time. If you then save the colour space in your PS files anyone opening it has no excuse for seeing anything different. A lot of printers that I know off who receive RGB files for conversion have their system set up for Adobe 98.

personally I stick with the device profiles, convert
when necessary and work within the specific monitor
space I'm using...
