tell me when you're going. I notice there is a disclaimer to sort out and I don't want to duplicate anything.

Why give yourself the grief of having devices guess the right colour as opposed to get it right first time? My camera outputs in adobe, I have my monitor set up with the same profile and PS as well meaning that I get accurately rendered colour every time. If you then save the colour space in your PS files anyone opening it has no excuse for seeing anything different. A lot of printers that I know off who receive RGB files for conversion have their system set up for Adobe 98.

Copyright 2003 Andrew Lopez-CalveteI have been hearing a lot recently about a 'standard colour space' individuals recommending the assignment of Adobe RGB 1998 to all files to set a 'standard' working space for all image practitioners.
I'm certain this is someones fantasy, but has anyone else heard of this practise catching on ?
personally I stick with the device profiles, convert when necessary and work within the specific monitor space I'm using...
