A little knowledge is a dangerous thing (as someone said), and these days it
is all too easy for us all to have a little knowledge about pretty much
everything, without ever realising how little we know about any of it.

At the risk of sounding cynical and repeating strands from a few weeks ago,
this goes to highlight the risk we all face, especially with the advent of
digi, of being considered technicians by our clients rather than visual
artists (i don't mean that technicians cannot be visual artists... just that
we all run the risk of losing our creative input to someone 'back at the
office').

I teach, as well as shoot, but as digi creeps into lessons these days it is
increasingly difficult to explain the problems of colour workflow while
keeping sight of the whole point of the exercise, which is the creation of a
meaningful image, rather than one that is only technically 'correct'
(whatever that is).
