You are not in any suggesting that the 12" Toshiba notebook which specifies
up to 32 Bits is higher than the Apple PowerBook G4 15.2" in terms of bit
depth. For the sake of curiosity, I've sent an e-mail to Apple technical to
confirm how many million colours does the PowerBook G4 display. However, if
you have been following my argument, the question of how many colours that
can be displayed in a PowerBook screen is remote to my thesis and at best
collateral, which I'll restate here: that you can colour match the image on
your screen with its output from a desktop printing device such as the Epson
2100. This thesis, despite all the bickering still stands and very firmly
too. It is irrelevant whether it is 1 bit that is displayed on the PowerBook
screen or 100 billion bits. The central question is that whatever the
quantum of colour it displays you can reproduce them accurately in a desktop
printing device such as the Epson 2100 in particular.
