I'm never wrong! <g>

It's taken as read that the reason you want to process the Raw data at a
later date is _because_ of the extra control. Why else would someone pay
100-500 for software to process the camera raw data if you can get the SAME
results in camera? Sheesh!

I said "Basically, all you are doing..." You are implying I said the
software used to process the file does EXACTLY the same as the camera's
firmware. OK, I know my English leaves a lot to be desired but it's not THAT
bad...is it?

To my mind, that's like saying take the lens cap off before you press the
shutter, stupid. It's a bit patronising to assume that, having invested
1500-8000 on dSLR, the owner doesn't even know the difference between what
the camera is capable of and what dedicated software that is NOT bundled
with a dSLR is capable of.

My advice to all contributors is, if you disagree with the content of
someone's post, just make your own case instead of trashing someone else's
contribution or calling someone wrong. If you must do it, do it with grace!

For example, you could just as easily have said, "Processing" a RAW file,
whether in C1 or PS, allows a huge amount more than what the camera would
have done." Alternatively, "I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am wrong but,
going by Shangara's past contributions, I think he meant X and not Y."
