Tony

I recently got the Pioneer A-107 - internal which does all formats - and + and was actually an Apple swapout. They are available for about 60 and it seems great. Can do 8x.

Generally the recommendation seems to be to do DVD-R - but I can't remember why - it may be in the archives.

Just to update myself before I buy a new Lacie/Plexstor/Pioneer, what's the latest thinking on DVD formats, longevity of etc? And is there any real advantage to spending more than 60 quid for an IDE type? I only require (a) burning CDs for clients, and (b) burning backup DVDs for storage.
Thanks, Tony H
