I wasn't suggesting it as an answer to your specific problem but as a way of learning more about C1 controls which at first I didn't fully use in my arsenal of image processing.
Have you tried asking the question on the C1 forum?

Interesting suggestion Bob but my work is virtually all portraiture under
studio flash lighting but where room colouring can cause colour casts on the
images as shot. Correcting for this "by eye" is OK up to a point but I would
prefer to develop a more consistent and reliable approach using a target
like the Gretag Colour chart.
