I have a 3rd generation 40GB iPod and used it occasionally as
additional hard disk for my laptop while on the road, but the
battery life is not 12h or 8h, but realistically 30minutes if
you use it as a hard disk only. So using this as a image storing
device is unfortunately useless, even with additional batteries.

this looks good, but I think I don't need half of its functions
and definitely not a image display, I just need a temporary storage
device...but thanks, I guess I have to read some more reviews and
comparisons.
