I am involved in some documentation projects, where my digital
equipment has to work for several days in an environment where I
have absolutely no access to a external power source and due to
weight concerns, I can bring only the most necessary stuff
(And no, I can not shoot analog, but have a analog backup
system with me, just in case).

I solved the battery problems for my Nikon D-SLRs but I have not
yet a solution to store my (lots of) RAW files reliable in the field.

What I am looking for is a 'Portable Storage' solution, an external
USB2, 50GB+ HD, flash card copy device. I live in Tokyo, Japan so I
have local shop access to a wide variety of devices like the "Tripper
Pro", "Vosonic X-Drive", "NixVue", and a whole bunch of others.

However, some of these devices have battery power only for 1,5h, which
is way too less. I wonder if somebody in Prodig can recommend a
reliable (read: containing a verify option) portable storage solution
plus a power management solution for said device which enables me run
it for a long period of time?

Thanks in advance!

Juergen
