Mike

Neil Barstow just profiled an 1160 using Small Gamut inks for me. Great
results.

Hit and miss, as profiles seem to be very printer dependent. I get damned
good results from my 890 (running quad blacks on Lyson 265 Satin) using
Lyson's generic profile.

However, results ain't so good on the 1160 using the generic Fine Art
profile on Hahnemule PhotoRag. On the other hand, I've heard of folks
getting great results from the same combo; the printer effect I suspect.

Horses for courses but, as the Lyson profiles cost nowt, it's probably worth
risking a few sheets of stock to see if you can get the results you need.
However, if you need ultimate quality, Mr Barstow's yer man ...and no, I'm
not on commission!! ;-)
