Hello,
The copyright registration makes all the difference in the world. Merely placing a copyright label on your images really has no power in the US court of law. It is the actual registration that is power. Unfortunately, you MUST register the images with the Copyright office upon completion of the job, to gain total security....or at least register before they are published anyplace. Registering after the fact will limit your protection to some extent.
I am no attorney, but just wrapped up an eleven month copyright battle. I learned a few things!!!
Best of luck,
Hal
