Hi List,

Just thought I'd re-introduce myself as after a 3 year brake from all things
photographic, I've decided to pick up a camera again. I've been a keen
'voyeur' of this excellent ProDig forum for many years and want to
congratulate everyone for making it what it is today!

4 years after a photographic degree, I became the staff photographer for a
large travel publishers in the UK. I worked predominantly on overseas
assignments for 7 years, and also dabbled in QTVR (when it was all the
rage!).

I'm excited by all the possibilities that are now available in the digital
market, and as such would like to ask for some advise regarding the best kit
for travel assignments. I used to use all Canon - Eos1's and L-series
lenses, and from what I can work out it still looks like the best way
forward!

I'm thinking Canon Eos-1Ds, L-series lenses, and a Dell PrecisionM60? I
would really appreciate some opinions. I've always been a keen Mac
supporter, but these days is there much of a difference other than the GUI
and the price!?

Much respect!

James Tims.
