I'm thinking Canon Eos-1Ds, L-series lenses, and a Dell PrecisionM60?
Hi James
Some thoughts to ponder...
The kodak 14nx is an amazing camera but for travel work, you are stuck with their own battery and brick of a charger, not so practical. The Fuji S2 on the other hand is excellent and you can get batteries anywhere (probably even at the top of a mountain).
Apple laptops are beautiful - which may be not a good thing for on the road. Buy the cheapest, lightest laptop that will do the job and when it get gets wet/ dropped/ stolen it won't hurt as much. An inbuilt CD/DVD recorder would also mean you could post discs home. And save some cash for a decent monitor to see the pics on when you get home; how about the new Eizo 22.2" LCD......
Happy travels,
