Back up systems are many and varied. I like the Raid1 system, but as Bertho says, delete a folder and it is gone on both drives. However you ought to be using 3 drives and cycling the 3rd drive in the system on a daily basis, depending on your workload. This way you can retrieve folders that mirroring deletes.

I am considering using 2 hard drives, each loaded with Windows XP operating system. This would give me protection against single drive failure, operating system bugs, accidental operator error, virus attacks etc.

The down side is the updating of two systems, how to keep this config is sync.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Michael
