I've made prints at A2 size from the 6 megapixel canon 10D. So is the 5.5 megapixel D1x. Enough resolution that no pixel is breaking up, just don't expect hair-sharp details (obviously).

Try to stick to low ISOs, because noise at higher ISO is what will ruin your big print.

Hi - I have a shoot coming up where the final image
(an outdoor full length portrait) may end up used at
A2 size on an instore display board (it may only be
used at smaller sizes - the client seems unsure at
this stage– but I need to cover myself to A2). I
normally use a D100, but will the maximum RAW file (at
200iso) be good enough for this purpose? And if not,
any advice on what I should be shooting on? ie, is
there an affordably (the budget isn't huge) hired
Digi-SLR alternative, or do I need to use film?

Thanks for your thoughts,
Andrew
