With careful processing and interpolation of the raw files there shouldn't be any problem going to A2 from the D100.Hi - I have a shoot coming up where the final image (an outdoor full length portrait) may end up used at A2 size on an instore display board (it may only be used at smaller sizes - the client seems unsure at this stage– but I need to cover myself to A2). I normally use a D100, but will the maximum RAW file (at 200iso) be good enough for this purpose? And if not, any advice on what I should be shooting on? ie, is there an affordably (the budget isn't huge) hired Digi-SLR alternative, or do I need to use film?
It will also depend on how it is printed too. Earlier this year I shot some posters for a drinks company on a D1X and they blew them up to 6ft x 4ft for in store promotions with out any problems.
Hope this puts your mind at rest!!
Cheers
