Dear Andrew,

Ok don't process in adobe raw. Process in nikon capture.

Import file into photoshop then upsize in photoshop by about 200% keeping
the dpi at 300 dpi. Made sure you use bicubic smoother in cs as the upsizing
method not standard bicubic.

Got to the blue channel and then use filter/blur/smart blur at high quality
a little. Then select the red and green channels and apply some unsharp mask
to it. Then go back to rgb, then copy the layer, go to filter/other/high
pass sharpening, adjust until the sahpe can be seen. Then change the layer
blending mode to overlay, You can now tone down the sharpened area to what
you think you need,, then using layer masks you can define which areas you
want to be sharp using the mask.

Hope that helps, worked for me with my d100 when I had a 5m high coke
bottle.

cheers

Ian Reynolds
