We are in an excellent spot for solar, and a marginally OK spot for wind.
Our house will have 2x6 walls, extra insulation, and tinted windows, so the
heating and cooling loads are reduced. That means that solar could actually
handle the load.

So, if there is budget at the end of the building process we will add solar.
If not, we will add it after we sell our parcels. It makes good sense to add
solar in Southern California.
