I was thinking you could store the power generated from the windmills and sell
it to the bloodsuckers too.

We have an artesian well so we have not needed to pump any water at all in
the 6 months since it was drilled. The only pumping we do is to pressurize
the water tank and that's pretty minimal.
Wind power only works during the times you have wind. We do get some pretty
good wind at times, and it tends to come in when the solar levels are low.
But from my studies using my weather station, it would not pay for itself.
It would be more of a novelty.
I think our best bet is to install solar to reduce our load and hopefully
sell power back to the grid in the summer months.
