There is no winner in war, only losers, The formula to which you ascribe would leave the whole world much like the middle east; a pile of rubble with people like you and I, if we survived, shivering in the darkness, loneliness, without family or friend, homeless, hopeless, and powerless. This is the reality of war; no glory, no majesty, no honor; only death and destruction. We need to work towards peace, negotiate treaties, mediate problems through a strong UN. In virtually every war from which Americans have emerged victorious, our vanquished enemy, with cities in ruins, were given humanitarian aid and economic assistance. Japan became a world-economic force. Germany was rebuilt. Why, there was even a movie with Peter Sellers called "The Mouse That Roared" that explained the whole process. So all we need to do is get all these people who hate our guts for some reason to admit defeat, surrender, and then sit back while American dollars are pumped into their economies. In the meantime, I am going to spend some time with my very fine canine companions.
