Guys, Take a look at SyncbackSE from http://www.2brightsparks.com/about.html
I recommend it for network backup as it just works, doing replication, incremental change etc etc. No FTP facilities unfortunately but for a network backup program its just superb with EMAIL confirmation of backup completion and errors. They do a 30 day demo on the site. I purchased the product back in 2004. It works 'ok' but in the end I've found batch file scripts/wsh scripts to be a better alternative if you need lots of flexibility.
