While that works, the address part is dependent on the carrier, each one
does it differently (possibly not just [email protected]).  Also, some
of the carriers don't handle the formatting well.  We had one client we sent
alerts to via the SMTP method to their phone, but even a single word message
came as 3 separate messages.  My guess that was the case so the carrier
could bill for separate text messages. ;)
