You guys are getting carried away without any concept of the specs.  He 
probably wants to print 5x8 index cards.  I used to do this all the time in 
FoxPro (back to 2.5).  It is no big deal.  It will run as fast or as slow as 
any other print job, depending on the data i/o, the complexity of formatting, 
the printer language, and the printer speed.

The question of "will it fit" is a non-issue or certainly no worse than 
printing on a full size sheet of paper.  For all you know, he is printing Job 
Ticket numbers to attach to some equipment ... 3 or 4 digits, 3" high.

Finally, he's been quiet since he asked this.  Probably has the project 
finished already.
