Very true and sage advice. I also use an email address that is never used.
One thing though I've noticed of late is that they are getting smarter. That is why the email address that is good, but never used.
In Canada, well I only know about Ontario... When they asked for address etc, they have started checking for a valid postal code and not just one of the format A1A 1A1. (I used to put 999 999) As matter of fact, I put in Santa's postal code H0H 0H0 (H0 H0 H0) and it came back as this was a postal code in Quebec, when we all know that Santa lives at the north pole! :-)
