Very true and sage advice. I also use an email address that is never used.

A couple words missing, perhaps? <G>
One thing though I've noticed of late is that they are getting
smarter. That is why the email address that is good, but never used.
My previous ISP bought ADSL from Telus. I would sometimes see
Web pages with ads on how I could be having dates with women in
Burnaby that evening. That is where Telus's head office is. Then,
they got smarter and realised that I am actually in Kamloops. They
seem to have gotten even smarter as I no longer see such ads.
In Canada, well I only know about Ontario... When they asked for
address etc, they have started checking for a valid postal code and
not just one of the format A1A 1A1. (I used to put 999 999) As
matter of fact, I put in Santa's postal code H0H 0H0 (H0 H0 H0) and
it came back as this was a postal code in Quebec, when we all know
that Santa lives at the north pole! :-)
The first character determines the province. H is for Quebec.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_codes_in_Canada,
"Although A1A 1A1[28] is sometimes displayed as a generic code for
this purpose, it is actually a genuine postal code in use in the
Lower Battery, St. John's Harbour, Newfoundland." (Take care with
your test data.)
Sincerely,
Gene Wirchenko
