If it works as well as the Apple touchpad then it is worth it. Apple definitely
got it right with that product and I wouldn't be without mine and all the multi
gesture facilities available. it means that the operating procedure on a laptop
becomes exactly the same on the desktop with no change in functionality.

Whenever I get on a native windows laptop (which is very rare these days as I
run Windows on the Macbook pro) I curse and swear at the inability to use the
touchpad in a sensible manner.

I'd certainly look at the Logitech offering as at least you don't get damned
arm ache from touching the screen all the time which is bad for you
health/posture and just damned long winded. It is expensive though ... better
still buy a Mac.

Geez, I'm becoming a Macophile....... I blame Ed for introducing me to the Mac
in Atlanta at the Fox Devcon many years back.....<grin>. Now all I need is a
Harley Davidson, long beard and a bandana

They still charge touch screen prices though, well maybe more.

I volunteer to help users at the local Retirement Home's computer lab.
Last week a resident brought in a Gateway 27" All-in-One, with Windows 8 and a
touch screen, and donated it to the lab. He found the touch screen much too
awkward to use on the large vertical monitor, and turned it off.

Apple doesn't offer touch on the iMac screens, instead they offer a touch pad,
with full 2,3,4-finger gestures, that sits beside the keyboard. You don't have
to reach, and the screen doesn't get fingerprints all over it. I think that's
the way to go.
