I think I heard it here first (dunno who) but I would agree that my VFP
app seems snappier on Win8 than on Win7.
Now if 24" monitors with touch-interface were under $200...I'd be on
Win8 like a fly on a melted fudgesicle!
I hear Win8.1 is due mid-October-ish. And they'll be committing suicide
if they don't make it free for everyone with Win8.

I agree with your verdict on Win 8, and I would say better than win 7 which,
here, has menu problems (some items not appearing until mouse over)
However I would say the biggest problem with Android is the product
suppliers. Samsung are crap at keeping up to date. They expect you to buy a
new machine every 6 months that even then are one or two androids behind.
This I think will be the failing of Android. Thank goodness for cyanogenmod
as my galaxy S1 is more up to date than the S4. I think this and ios being
so closed will get people to windows phones and tablets.
Anyone know when SP1 for win 8 is due?

Andriod's biggest problem is making the experience between devices similar.
I have a Motorola Driod X and it is different in several ways from the ASUS
table...both running Andriod, although (obviously) different flavors.
