That's largely the use case I see to be honest. Surfing and the like
while flaked out on the couch, it's a perfect device. Maybe some games
of the type that are suited to a touch UI. Doing some emails. In a
business scenario, maybe looking a dashboard-type info, or simple data
entry. 

IMO you won't be wanting to do any serious amount of typing or intricate
work on a tablet. You could it with a Surface with added keyboard, but
then you have a laptop, more or less.
