I use my text editor for way more than programming - notes, to-do lists,
changelogs, etc. etc.
For the last 4-5 years I've been using EditPad Pro, from Jan Goyvaerts' Just
Great Software, and it is in fact 'just great'. Syntax highlighting knows a
ton of languages, including VFP and HTML.

I bought EditPad Pro because I had used his original, free EditPad for about 10
years and loved it.
Pro is extensively customizable by file type, and includes the ability to run
the compiler from the edit window. Costs $50, free trial and free 'lite'
version available.

Highly recommended.
