That's interesting about "testing time".

While at the office I'd do some testing. But often allowed users to help me
do the more intensive testing.

Now that I'm physically removed, and on my own, should I spend more time
with that aspect?  Truthfully I'd rather not, and I'm pretty sure the way
our relationship is they will be happy to help with that chore.

Now that we're on this subject, what about documentation.  That's something
I would do occasionally, depending on how complicated the project was, but
many times I would just walk over to the end users and say "click here",
click there", blah, blah, blah...

I think Ted R. has described the issue better than I can.

I don't charge for 'thinking' time.  I do charge for 'Design' time, which is
when I'm writing down draft data structures, menu structures, and control
flows.  And I show Design and Programming time separately on the bill.  (I
also show testing time, just to point out that it's something that has to be
done.)
