All sorts of reasons this solution is not a good idea Not only do these free file servers don't act like a network drive, but more of a backup copy of your local data. Not a bad idea to back up your data to cloud drive, but not as a remote access file system. Even with Google drive where they claim you can have multi people access the same word/excel file.. and make updates.. my testing on that didn't prove stable .
If you need cloud based data - you might as well get a sql server hosted in the cloud. - Simple and robust.
