I use ulead photoimpact which has capture. It was trodden on by corel and
discontinued but that means it should be cheap somewhere.
I think it may be that they seem unclear because you import them as a
different size. Maybe try making them the same size and use Paint Shop Pro
to adjust the size after.

I am writing some instructions on using email for a friend.  To illustrate
the instructions I am using screenshots which I generate by pressing PrtSc
or Alt+PrtSc then pasting into Paint Shop Pro for cropping or directly into
the Word 2010 document.  I'm finding that the screenshots are not as sharp
and clear as I would like - can anyone recommend a better method?  My screen
resolution is 1920x1080.
