President Bush used his recess appointment powers to appoint John Bolton as ambassador to the UN. It now appears the John Bolton appointment is in jeopardy, because of congressional balance of power changes resulting from the midterm election. I suppose many other President Bush recess appointment may expire, never receiving congressional confirmation. I think this is a very positive development for America, and for the American people.
Perhaps at some point John Bolton will provide more in depth details of his role within the neoconservative Bush Administration that lauched the war against Iraq.
