+1 for the USB ports, one thing that the Macbook doesn't supply in great 
quantity i.e. only two!

If I was buying one now I wouldn't consider anything less than an SSD drive, 
just for the general performance increase especially booting.  
Even if you have a small boot drive and a larger main drive.
