And, the poor girl is practically Begging for help. So - any input from
you folks would be Greatly appreciated.
Try opening it in Open Office Writer. Open Office can frequently "fix"
corrupted MS Office documents. If it opens in Writer, re-save it as an
ordinary .doc (not .docx) file, and you should be good to go.
