MS seems to have been feeling some heat on this. Searching the topic
in the last few days suddenly finds this page, which did not turn up
in extensive searches a couple weeks ago:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3080351
So they claim the autostart of Win 10 installation will not occur on
machines joined to a domain. I wonder how they determine that. My Win
7 boxes are on a "domain", but it's not an Active Directory domain
and by some accounts it's not a "real" domain at all. It's a SAMBA 3
domain emulation. However, the workstations "think" they are joining
a domain, after they receive a couple of registry adjustments to
enable them to do so.
Also, we have this from Myerson, which did not seem to be in the
original text of this blog post:
"As an example of direct response to feedback we've received, we will
be improving our documentation of what has changed within any
individual update, and improving scheduling options for when updates
are installed."
