I was much happier when the US was working toward reducing nuclear weapons an other weapon of war making the world a safer place. Some day, when the would matures to a whole new level, there will be no more wars. War is bad -- it leads to unnecessary lose of limb, destruction of lives and property and death.
Until then we need to work towards understanding between all peoples and nations. This reduces suspection, tensions, hate (eg all forms of FEAR), so weapons will no longer be necessary. Then we can turn the resources being used to make weapons into tools to make the world a better place in which to live. Make peace, not war.
