When the drive gets close to be full, Windows by default prompts you to
clean up files. Among those is completely emptying the temp directory. They
don't have to know where or what the TEMP folder is.

On the phone I tell customers to enter %temp% in the address bar of Explorer
and hit enter. That's much simpler than trying to figure out where the
folder is located.
