I think the Microsoft standard (yes those are generally contradictory terms) is to put data in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\<application name>. So you may want to do some searching down that tree. To make matters worse, I think the "Application Data" branch may be set up to be 'hidden' or 'system' by default. So normal searching may not reveal the right location. You, and everyone, on this list needs to make a huge stink about this to every person we know. Putting data in a "common" place give hackers a head start on getting into your system. Of course, it gives MS a head start on getting into your system as well (hmmm.... I wonder if there really is much of a difference between hackers and MS... they both seem to want to get into your personal computing assets to do things for their own benefit.....) I swear, MS really REALLY needs to simply go away. Everyone's life would be sooooo much better. -Charlie _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
