Hi Stephen, > You now have an annual fee.
Only if you want updates. > USE <http://guineu.foxpert.com/help/use.htm> The documentation is the part I'm working on right now. It got faster outdated than I hoped for. > All fields are written as character fields. Read operations are supported for character, currency, date, integer and boolean. All other field types are read as characters. Memo files are not supported. That's not current anymore. More data types are already supported for read and some for write operations. > Does it only work with free tables? No, Guineu works on DBC tables but does not yet evaluate all of the additional DBC properties. > Implemented. None of the clauses is currently working. Changing the work area inside the SCAN loop is not supported. That changed already. FOR is suported, changing work areas works, as well. The same is true for scanning with an index set. > So how will you be able to take your existing code? I don't get it. Right now? You might have code that runs unchanged, but most likely you need to modify it to run with Guineu. That's why I'm not selling licenses for Guineu, right now. <g> However, given that seven month ago I couldn't even open a table in Guineu and 10 month ago my only UI was a messagebox and ?/??, I don't see why the missing parts shouldn't be available sooner or later. BTW, the vocabulary application I used for demos at conferences (part of the Guineu download) is an application that uses DBFs and works on the PDA as well as Linux. It's small, but it's a real application. -- Christof _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
