ok then advice
I want to make a web server using C# on my win2k3 IIS6 server. Can you point
me to some material to get me going in VS2005 or recommend a book that will
help.

I can crank out a WS in no time at all for consumption to a select set or
unlimited access. Now with WCF you can get a lot more security on both
sides of the connection.

I can consume a WS in no time in an app. Web or Win. I can use that for my
data layer as a whole or just for smaller needs of some crud operations or
validations.

Granted you can do that with a great many languages out there. C comes to
mind as well as java and python.

The only thing that you have to do is break the mold of always starting your
computer and then opening up VFP. You have to choose another tool to spend
time at learning how to use. Put in 30 min in the morning and 30 min at
lunch. If you can squeeze in a last bit at the end of the day even better.
In a few short weeks you will have done the hello world as well as the
simple little list box type of thing. It just takes time.
