1) Since it is of great consequence to you, you should consider that  
your interpretation of events is being greatly colored by your  
financial fears.

2) If you were a public company, you would have had a fiduciary duty  
to minimize the downside of the risk you were taking by planning for  
alternatives. You now have a 7-year or so window to transition to  
something else, and yet you steadfastly refuse to do so.

        Microsoft is acting in its own interests. The same cannot be said  
for you.
